What if…
…we could have more?
A lot more.
More housing. More jobs. More sidewalks and trees. More resources for our children.
This isn’t a dream. It could be our reality. Let’s say yes to more of what our community needs.
What if we could have…
-
Durham needs to support mission driven businesses, invest in job training, and make Durham the top place for workers and the businesses that are creating jobs.
-
Stable housing is foundational to everything else. We need deep investments in housing across the affordability spectrum. This includes encouraging development of Durham’s “missing middle” housing.
-
Ensuring children (and adults!) have access to safe third spaces isn’t just fun, it’s essential for improving quality of life and keeping us all safe. And who doesn’t want more festivals on the weekends?
-
Violence prevention must be prioritized, as gun violence ravages our community. Ensuring everyone has economic opportunity, stable housing, and access to safe third spaces prevents violence before it happens. Our first responders deserve world class training and support to ensure that they are able to develop the community relationships that ultimately reduce crime.
